Child Health Clinic
This is on Thursday between 2.00pm -
3.30pm. This is for well babies and
children only.
Both the GP and Health Visitor are
available at this clinic. No
appointment is necessary. The 8 week
and pre-school year development
assessments are carried out at this
clinic along with the childhood
immunisations.
The Health Visitor
also runs a drop-in clinic on a
Friday morning if you wish to see
her.
Ante-natal and
Post-natal Care
We provide both
ante-natal and post-natal care in
the Practice.
The community
midwife provides ante-natal care in
the practice along
with the GP. All low risk women will
have their ante-natal care shared
between the midwife and the GP.
Women who have a medical problem or
who are considered high risk will be
put under the care of an
obstetrician at the Women’s Centre
at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
The community midwife (and her team)
will also care for women in labour
and for the first 10 days following
the birth.
The Health Visitor will contact and
visit every family with a new baby
within 2 weeks of the birth and help
with advice and support for your
baby and young children.
