CHANGES TO YOUR USUAL DOCTOR:  During the merger process of the last few months we have had to make a number of changes to the doctors' team.  This means we have had to move 10% of our patients to new usual doctors.  We are sending out text messages, emails and some letters to let you know if this applies to you.  If you have been moved, we are really sorry as we know patients and doctors often develop close relationships, and it can be frustrating having to get to know and to trust someone again.  However, please be patient and give it a go.  The new doctors we have are caring, conscientious and highly competent.

Welcome to Bury Knowle, Marston, Barton and Wood Farm Health Centres

We are a group of health centres in NE Oxford.  In clubbing together we have been able to put together a full range of really accessible and convenient health services for you and your family.

We believe that good health care has to be:

  • Easily accessible – so we provide you with same day appointments for anything urgent and routine appointments usually within 2-3 days; as well as evening and weekend appointments.
  • Convenient – so we provide  you with a range of appointment types, including telephone appointments, which can often save you the hassle of coming up to the surgery.
  • Provided by someone you know and who knows you – so you will have your own own usual doctor, who has overall responsibility for managing your care.
  • Team-based – so we have a broad range of professionals to care for you, including advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, physiotherapists, clinical pharmacists, midwives, health visitors, counselling and many others.
