If you are not already aware, the GP Carers Grant will not continue from April 2015, following 3 years and over 2700 successful grant applications. From 1 April 2015, carers’ grants will be replaced by a more comprehensive assessment of a carer’s needs. This may lead to a support plan, which could include a payment, to help a person maintain their wellbeing while continuing their caring role.
