CHANGES TO YOUR USUAL DOCTOR:  During the merger process of the last few months we have had to make a number of changes to the doctors' team.  This means we have had to move 10% of our patients to new usual doctors.  We are sending out text messages, emails and some letters to let you know if this applies to you.  If you have been moved, we are really sorry as we know patients and doctors often develop close relationships, and it can be frustrating having to get to know and to trust someone again.  However, please be patient and give it a go.  The new doctors we have are caring, conscientious and highly competent.

What is the Electronic Prescription Service?

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is a new NHS service that lets your GP practice send your prescription electronically to the pharmacy you choose to get your medicines or appliances from - without the need for paper in some cases.

How does the Electronic Prescription Service work?

  1. First, you must choose (or 'nominate’) a suitable and convenient pharmacy or appliance contractor to manage your electronic prescriptions.  All our local pharmacies provide EPS
  2. Ask that pharmacy or dispensing appliance contractor to add your nomination for you.
  3. Alternatively you can ask us by completing and sending us the form below and we will add the nomination to your notes from our end
  4. You don’t need a computer to do this.

Can I change back again?

Yes you can. Just tell your pharmacist or us at any of our sites.

Is EPS safe, secure, and confidential?

Yes. Your electronic prescription will be seen by the same people in GP practices, pharmacies and NHS prescription payment and fraud agencies that see your paper prescription now.
